You will need the following materials:

• a white sheet of paper
• two sheets of thick colored paper in different colors (choose the colors you like the most)
• alcohol markers (choose colors as desired)
• a ruler
• a pen
• a pencil
• double-sided duct tape
• scissors
• pliers
• glue
• a brush
• a pushpin
• wooden sticks (with tapered ends)
• thread

STEP 1 of how to make Paper Gaming Watch Super Mario

Cut a strip from a white sheet of paper

The dimensions of the strip are indicated in the picture below

This strip will serve as the game board

You can style it as you like or use our design option

For this, you will need a pencil and alcohol markers, choose colors as desired

Now let’s make the body of Paper Gaming Watch Super Mario

For this, cut a piece of colored paper with the specified dimensions

Draw lines on the sheet of paper as shown in the picture below

Fold the sheet of paper as shown in the picture below

Let the left edge of the sheet meet the indicated white dashed line

Now you will need a pen and a ruler

Draw each previously drawn line several more times

This will help make the folding process easier

Fold the sheet along the just-drawn lines

Fold the remaining edges of the sheet in the same way

Take a ruler and a pen

Draw a rectangle in the indicated place

The dimensions of the rectangle are shown in the picture below

Cut out the rectangle that you just drew using a paper knife

You will need glue and a brush for this step

Apply glue to the indicated edges of the sheet

Join the cut edges of the sheet together

Join them in a way that gives the shape of the box

Apply glue to the indicated edges of the sheet

Take a pen and mark points on the side of the glued box

The places for the marks are shown in the picture below

Use a pushpin to make holes at the marked points

Make the same marks on the other side of the box

Use a pushpin to make holes at the newly made marks

Take a wooden stick with a tapered end

Insert the tapered-end stick into the holes you just made

Take another stick with a tapered end and insert it in the same way

Cut out two paper strips

The required dimensions are shown in the picture below

We used thick black paper in our tutorial

Now you will need double-sided duct tape

Cut 10 pieces of double-sided duct tape and stick them on the prepared paper strips

Remove the protective paper layer from the double-sided duct tape

Take out one of the sticks and start wrapping the paper strip with the double-sided duct tape around it

Cut off the tapered end of the stick using pliers as shown in the picture below

Insert the stick back into the paper box

Cut off the second tapered end of the prepared stick using pliers

Repeat the same steps with the second stick

Take the previously prepared game board

Flip the game board over to the back

Take double-sided duct tape

Cut two pieces of double-sided duct tape 3.3 cm long

Stick them on the edge of the game board and remove the protective paper layer

Attach and stick the edge of the game board with the applied double-sided duct tape to the stick inserted in the paper box

Start winding the edge of the game board onto the stick by rotating it

Stick two strips of double-sided duct tape 3.3 cm long on the free edge of the game board

Remove the protective paper layer from the double-sided duct tape

Attach and stick the edge of the game board with the newly applied double-sided duct tape to the second stick inserted in the paper box

Start winding the edge of the game board onto the stick by rotating it.

Make a cut in the specified place using scissors.

Close the paper case of the watch by aligning the cuts you just made with the protruding edges of the wooden sticks

Draw a Mario character on a sheet of paper and cut it out

Now you will need double-sided duct tape

Cut a small piece of double-sided duct tape and stick it on the back of the Mario figure

Remove the protective paper layer from the double-sided duct tape

Now you will need a thread

Attach the thread to the place where the double-sided duct tape was just applied, as shown in the picture

Cut a small piece of double-sided duct tape and stick it over the attached thread

Make sure that the Mario figure and thread are securely connected to each other

This is how it should look like

Now you need to attach the thread with the figure to the watch body

To do this, open the top cover of the watch body, as shown in the picture

Attach the thread to the watch body as shown in the pictures below

Flip the watch body over and tie a thread

Cut the ends of the thread

Cut a small rectangular piece of double-sided duct tape

Insert it under the thread at the knot

The double-sided duct tape should be inserted in such a way that the adhesive side of the duct tape touches the thread

Cut a small piece of colored paper of the same shape and stick it on top of the double-sided duct tape

Now you can move the Mario figure up and down by putting your finger on the paper (which you attached to the thread) and moving the paper on the bottom of the watch body.

Make sure that the thread is securely tied around the watch body and that the Mario figure can move freely

Close the top cover of the watch body

Cut a piece of colored paper to the specified size

The dimensions are shown in the picture below

Use a pencil and a ruler to draw a horizontal line in the middle of the paper

Fold the piece of paper as shown in the picture below

Let the bottom edge meet the middle of the paper piece

Do the same with the top edge

Let the top edge meet the middle of the paper piece

This will be the watch strap

Unfold the piece of paper to its original position

Take glue and apply it to the inner part of the paper piece

Fold the top and bottom edges of the paper piece to the middle

Give the watch strap the necessary shape, as shown in the pictures below

Now you will need double-sided duct tape

Cut two small pieces of double-sided duct tape

Stick them on the watch body in the specified locations shown in the picture below

Remove the protective paper layer from the double-sided duct tape

Insert the watch strap under the thread and attach it to the double-sided duct tape that you just applied

Using scissors, cut the edges of the strap as shown in the pictures below

Cut a piece of paper in the shape shown in the picture below

Using a pen and ruler, draw a horizontal line in the middle of the paper piece

Fold the paper piece in half along the just-drawn line

Unfold the piece of paper to its original position

Take glue and apply it to the inner part of the paper piece

Fold the paper piece and glue its edges together

Place the just-glued paper piece under the strap, as shown in the picture below

Fold the top and bottom edges of the paper piece, as shown in the picture below

Remove the folded paper piece from the strap

Glue its edges together

This is how it should look like

Try to fasten the strap

Connect the strap ends by threading them through the just-made loop
