Materials You’ll Need:
- a sheet of paper
- porous two-layer cardboard
- glue stick
- utility knife
- scissors
- glue gun
- toilet paper roll
- balloon
- alcohol markers
STEP 1
You’ll need a piece of cardboard and a sheet of paper the same size.
You can choose any size you want – that will decide how big your craft turns out.
Glue the cardboard and paper together. A glue stick works great for this.
STEP 2
Now you’ll need a cardboard tube – the kind from a toilet paper roll is just right.
Put the tube on the paper side and trace around it with a pencil. Then cut out the circle.

STEP 3
Time to get creative!
Paint and decorate your craft any way you like. You can follow our design or make it completely your own.
STEP 4
For this step, you’ll need scissors and a glue gun (ask parents for help if needed).
Cut one end of the cardboard tube as shown in the images below.
Glue that end of the tube to the cardboard. We used a glue gun to make sure it sticks well.

STEP 5
Take a balloon, blow it up (not too big!) and gently place it into the hole you cut earlier.
