Fun Paper Crafts at Home: Your Cute Paper Game Tutorial

✂️ What You’ll Need:

• a piece of paper, roughly 21 x 10 cm (about 8.3 x 4 inches)
• 8 plastic bottle caps (the standard size works best!)
• pencil
• alcohol markers, crayons, or colored pencils
• scissors
• double-sided tape
• a second piece of paper, roughly 25 x 20 cm (about 10 x 8 inches)

Step 1: Trace Your Bases

Take your first piece of paper and all 8 plastic bottle caps. Use your pencil to trace around the perimeter of each cap, creating 8 perfect circles on the paper. These circles will be the face of your emojis.

Step 2: Design and Cut!

Now for the fun part! Use your colored markers or crayons to draw and color in your favorite emojis inside the circles. You’ll need two different types of emojis, with four of each type (8 total). For example, you can make four “Heart Eyes” and four “Star Eyes.” Feel free to get creative with your own unique designs, or simply follow our decorating idea! Once you’re happy with them, carefully cut out all 8 circles with your scissors.

Step 3: Attach to the Caps

Time to make them official game pieces! Get your double-sided tape and cut 8 small pieces, making sure they are about the size of your bottle caps. Peel the backing and stick one emoji circle onto the flat top of each plastic cap. Press down firmly! These little cap pieces are now your game tokens.

Step 4: Draw the Containers

Take your second, larger piece of paper (we used about 25 x 20 cm, or 10 x 8 inches). This is where you’ll draw your three sorting containers. It’s super important that you make them large enough to comfortably hold four of your emoji caps each. Draw them out, and feel free to decorate them if you want!

How to Play the Emoji Sort Puzzle Game

The goal of the game is simple, but solving it takes a bit of clever thinking:
